Outspoken to Continue Delivering Bikeability in Luton

It is our pleasure to announce that Outspoken has been selected to deliver the new Bikeability contract in Luton.

Building on the success of Luton Borough Council and Outspoken’s partnership since 2022, both will be continuing to work closely to inspire more children to cycle. With cycle ownership and pupils’ ability to ride being two barriers to overcome, the partnership will focus on embedding cycle training a regular intervals within a child’s school life to enable pupils to ride by the time they leave school. This will be achieved through:

  • Learn to Ride training for Key Stage 1 pupils
  • Level 1 off-road cycle training for Year 3 and 4 pupils
  • Level 2 on-road cycle training for Year 5 and 6 pupils

This will be supported by a hire cycle scheme funded by the council which will provide cycles for children to participate on.
