Children's Bikeability
Cycle Training

We aim to enthuse the next generation of cyclists by instilling a love of cycling from a young age. Whether your child is looking to cycle for the first time or keen to begin making more on-road journeys by bicycle, we can help with our fun, tailored Bikeability cycle training sessions.

About the Sessions

All our sessions are run as a two-hour one-to one-lesson with a fully qualified and appropriately vetted (including enhanced DBS checked) National Standard Instructor who has up to date safeguarding and first aid qualifications.

We run tailored sessions for children of all ages, abilities and needs including:

  • Bikeability Learn to Ride – learn to ride

  • Bikeability Level 1 – off-road bike handling skills

  • Bikeability Level 2 – residential riders

  • Bikeability Level 3 – route planning for advanced cyclists

  • Specialist Bikers – for adaptive cycles

  • Family Riders – see our Bikeability Family training

It costs just £75 per 2-hour session; there is funding for free sessions for residents of Warwickshire and the staff and students of Cambridge University.

What will my child need?

A roadworthy bicycle, a helmet and suitable clothing for the weather conditions.

We currently have training centres in the following areas:

  • Bedfordshire – Bedford

  • Cambridgeshire – Ely, Cambridge, and Huntingdon

  • Lincolnshire – Stamford

  • Norfolk – King’s Lynn
