Instructor Training & Support
Outspoken Training supports new and existing instructors with accredited training and qualifications

Anyone wanting to deliver Bikeability, must complete the Level 2 Award in Instructing Cycle Training (L2AICT).
This qualification equips learners with the skills, knowledge and enthusiasm to become a cycling instructor and deliver National Standard and Bikeability cycle training for accredited providers in England.
Once qualified there are clear pathways for your development including mentoring and completing your Level 3 Award.
Existing instructors must complete a minimum of 7.5 hours of CPD each year and we develop suitable courses to support this for our own as well as external instructors.
We work closely with many Local Authorities and independent Bikeability providers, delivering initial instructor training and ongoing CPD courses.

Thoroughly enjoyed the course, the instructor Rachel and the other students on the course were great. It was the first time in a long time I felt excited about a role.

I found the course to be both informative and inspiring. The course tutors were very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and had the ability to get the best out of the course participants. I started the course feeling unsure of my ability. I left the course feeling confident, inspired and capable of delivering Bikeability.

Chris and Rachel, between them have been teaching Bikeability for more than fifteen years, enthusing children and adults to cycle more. Over that time, they have developed into some of our most experienced and qualified members of the team with responsibility for training new instructors as level 3 instructors.
Chris used to be in the armed forces. Rachel is a maestro at Roller Derby!
