Outspoken become 1st4Sport Recognised Delivery Centre

We are thrilled to announce that Outspoken Training has become a 1st4sport Recognised Delivery Centre (RDC) enabling us to deliver the new instructor qualifications.

1st4Sport is an awarding organisation regulated by Ofqual that specialises in vocational and occupational qualifications such as cycling. It is part of Coachwise, which has been part of the industry's External Quality Assurance programme for the last 5 years.

From 1st August 2019, Instructor Training Organisations (ITOs) have been replaced by 1st4sport Recognised Delivery Centres (RDCs) with organisations such as Outspoken, having to go through a vigerious assessment process to become an RDC. The aim of these changes was to:

  • Introduce externally-regulated qualifications to the industry
  • Create a more consistent approach to instructor training and cycle training delivery
  • Ensure RDCs and instructor training are quality assured
