Instructor Training Courses

Being a National Standard Instructor (NSI) delivering Bikeability cycle training is a very satisfying and rewarding job. No surprise then to hear that Outspoken Training have been very busy delivering a number of 4-day NSI courses, training groups of individuals all keen to enjoy that feeling.

People from all types of backgrounds find their way onto the courses and whilst their personal reasons may vary, they are all driven by one common desire – to enthuse people to cycle more often.

The enthusiasm and energy shown over the recent courses has been amazing and resulted in new NSI’s now ready to take on the challenges of delivering Bikeability cycle training to many excited school children.

With a mixture of classroom based theory sessions and practical sessions cycling around the streets of Cambridge, the course took the participants progressively through the 3 Levels of the National Standard. The trainee instructors were guided through many topics and were tasked with learning and delivering the many outcomes, and they did not hold back.

Upon successfully completing the course the trainees were pleased, proud (and slightly relieved) to receive their National Standard Instructor Provisional (NSIP) certification. Good luck to them all, Outspoken Training look forward to supporting them with their new career!

Feedback received reflected the success of the course;

“Outspoken deliver a fantastic NSI course. Everything is covered to provide confidence delivering the 3 National Standard levels. Outspoken are friendly and professional. My Instructor Stuart was very approachable and taught me many skills on how to deliver the outcomes. I would highly recommend Outspoken for anyone who wants to become an cycle instructor.”
