New Bikeability Parent's Handbook

A brand new Parent’s Handbook has been developed to add to the current set of Level 1, 2 and 3 handbooks.

It is designed especially for parents, guardians or carers of young cyclists who have just completed their Bikeability training to Level 2. It's aim is to provide advice on how to cycle as a family or group, according to the principles of Bikeability.

This is one of the #1 questions from parents after Bikeability and it is hoped that it will fill a gap in advice and knowledge so young cyclists can continue to cycle beyond the initial Bikeability training. The advice and content was developed with the help of Outspoken and The Association of Bikeability Schemes (TABS) to ensure consistency with best practice.

Bikeability Schemes may choose how they wish to make them available and to whom (e.g. via schools, or direct to parents).

The Parent’s Handbook should then be available in the Bikeability online shop from December 2016.
