Cycle to Work Week

In support of the ‘Cycle to Work’ week cycling initiative run by our instructors have been sharing their journeys with us and capturing some of the fantastic scenes that you don’t get enjoy from the inside of a car!

Stuart made the 8-mile trip from Whittlesey to Peterborough using a combination of the ‘Green Wheel’ cycle route and National Route 63, taking some pictures of interest points along the way.

Almost all this journey was off-road and took in the sights of The Fens, The River Nene, Peterborough Cathedral, Orton Mere, Nene Valley Railway and the changing face of the Peterborough Embankment (Fletton Quays) in the town centre.

Peterborough is a city that supports cycling with it’s fantastic network of cycling infrastructure linking all parts of the city together and then extending out to some of the more rural locations too.

The Peterborough ‘Green Wheel’ is well known in the town and is a 45-mile round trip circling its way around the city. It is a mixture of off and on-road routes and can be enjoyed in smaller journeys if you don’t fancy the full 45 miles.

With the growth of Outspoken Training we now have instructors cycling daily in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Suffolk and we will be sharing more journeys in the coming months, that explore more of the National Cycle Network that is available to us every day of the year.
