COVID-19 Update

With the current situation surrounding the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, we have setup our news page to give the latest updates on the measures we are taking to minimise risks to our staff, customers and the general public across our various services.

This page will be updated as new recommendations and information is released by Public Health England.

Obviously the situation is changing quickly and we are acting on the advice from the government and Public Health England, who we are in regular contact with. At this stage, any staff member reporting any cough or flu-like symptoms will be instructed to stay at home for the 7-day quarantine period recommended by Public Health England. If any staff member lives in a house with anyone showing symptoms, they will be asked to self isolate for the 14-day period recommend by Public Health England.
 
As of Friday 13th March 2020, we have suspended all our cycle training services for the foreseeable future following government advice. This will be reviewed as and when new advice is issued. 
 
Previous to suspending our cycle training services we had implemented a hand-washing policy whereby all staff are required to wash hands upon arrival at work or a training venue and at the end of each training session. As part of this, we introduced a no hand shaking policy. This is part of us asking our staff to avoid physical contact including a no face touching policy (e.g. when adjusting helmets). Instructors also wore gloves when checking and adjusting bicycles. 
 
We encouraged participants and instructors to maintain at least 2m away from each other during any training sessions and encouraged group training bookings to change to one-to-one bookings.
 
Our office (The Bike Depot) is now closed to office staff who will all be working from home for the foreseeable future. Previsous to this training courses/sessions took place from there with all digital devices, door handles, surfaces and key equipment such as phones disinfected on a daily basis.
 

Courses and Sessions

Following the lockdown, we have cancelled all cycle training services for the next three week (from Friday 13th March 2020). If you are booked onto a session during this period, you are welcome to transfer your booking to a later courses or request a full refund by getting in touch over email. 

If you are booked onto a course/session and you have travelled to any of the category 1 and 2 specified areas detailed by Public Health England, we require you to notify us prior to your course/session. If the Public Health England advice is for you to self-isolate during the period your course/session takes place, please notify us immediately and do not attend the course/session. We will be happy to transfer your booking to a future date at no extra cost to you.
